    Crash on Hunt:Shutdown


    My computer sometimes crashes when I'm playing a game. When it crashes sometimes the computer will show a blue screen with the code clock_watchdog_timeout and sometimes it just restarts itself. This error occurs at irregular times and with varying frequency. I have tried reinstalling windows and reinstalling the drivers from the official website, unplugging and relocating the memory sticks, updating to the latest bios and modifying the frequency of the memory, all to no avail. Afterwards, when I checked the event viewer, I found that a warning appeared before each computer crash. The details o

    MS has really deserted all of us on this issue. I submitted a crash report almost 2 years ago about this same issue. I follow this thread and I never see ANY suggestions or fixes from MS with exception to the standard scripted (useless) response you normally
    receive right away. Though I enjoyed the Treasure Hunt, I totally quit playing due to the crashes and robbing of my LOOT Crash on Hunt:Shutdown ;) So, I play MS Solitaire Collection and it works great. Pity they can't tweak the Treasure Hunt to do the same.

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
    Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
    If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

    P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
    Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
    What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
