Windows 10: Crash when i was out of the room came back and was at logon screen after being in machine...

Booted my Asus 990FX Tff board has a 8 core vishera 225 watts hot one! Gigabyte RX 570 4g Graphics card however forced to use amd drivers for the amd model the gigabyte drivers seem to be poorly done and cause all sorts of uncommon errors so i stick with them drivers and it runs a bit hotter not by much, could this be the issue? I have a dump file i can send if need be from the incident. Windows 10 pro version 21H2 Build 19044.2130Also have a sound Blaster Audigy pcie card and had to put the Video card because it block the pcie in slot 1 so video card is in in slot 3 so i can use the so

Anniversary Update results in Logon Crash

Thanks Erwinjames. I followed the steps listed and things have only gotten worse. Both the DISM and the sfc scan tools found no issues. After running them I tried the update again. No luck same problems.

I got a few new error messages on the update window. The only additional thing I did was wsreset.exe. this waa suggested as a solution to one of the error codes. Now my PC 'soft' freezes on the logon screen. By soft freeze, I mean that the mouse can move
on the screen, but I can't click on anything or type in any boxes.

I can still boot into safe mode but not much else.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

Logon screen?????


i haven't seen anything here about the logon screen, but my logon screen is horrible. it is the most buggy thing about win 10 for me, and it crashes almost all the time. i get a flashing screen, and the credentials to logon are hard to get it to accept them. does anyone else here have such problems, and if so is there anyone who has any workarounds or fixes for this? thanks in advance for any information shared.
