    Crashes during GPU intensive applications

    Hi everyone,

I recently built a new system (specs see profile description) and have been having problems during gaming and video editing. I have a feeling it has something to do with my GPU, but I will let you guys be the judge of that Crashes during GPU intensive applications :)

I don't get a BSOD like I used to get in Windows 7 or Vista, the display just switches to a black or green screen during video editing or even in Rome Total War 2 fights. Audio often keeps playing for like 10s, but then hangs up as well. The system does not shut down on its own, I have to manually either reset or shut it down using the power button.

The motherboard, CPU, RAM and PSU are brand new. The SSD I took from my old PC and the GPU I got second hand.

I stress tested the GPU with Furmark and both Unigine Benchmarks, neither of which returned any errors - max temp around 70-75°C. Additionally I ran Prime95 for around 1 hour, but since I don't have an aftermarket CPU cooler (yet) and the CPU was going up to 95°C I thought it would be best to stop the test. I also ran memtest for a while, didn't get any errors there either

I checked all my drivers to the best of my knowledge (the system was first booted around 4 weeks ago, which is when I installed the drivers).

I used to do some overclocking on an old Intel Q9550 + GTX 285, but unfortunately haven't had time for this for a long time. Hence, I would appreciate any help you can give me in solving this problem, I am kinda behind on all the new bling here and basically just wanted to build a system that would work as it is.

Thanks in advance for your assistance, log file uploaded below.

    Cheers, Yannick

    :)

GPU-Z 0.7.5 causing crashes on load up

Any chance you could narrow it down to which running application causes GPU-Z to crash? Ideally steps to reproduce for me here.

PC Continuously Crashing After a Game is Launched. GPU or Memory Issue?

My PC continuously crashes after the GPU is strained, even if it's just a little bit. The issue can't be traced to overheating since my PC typically crashes around 50 degrees Celsius. It consistently crashes around a minute or two after booting up a game,
problem is consistent between two different launchers that I've tried (Steam and GOG Galaxy) and whenever I ran Heaven benchmark the PC would crash in under a minute. I wasn't running any other application except for MSI Afterburner to monitor heat and memory
usage, I've noticed that the memory usage would be high but that my PC would only crash if I had heaven benchmark open, but if I alt tabbed the PC wouldn't crash, I'm still not entirely certain if the issue can be traced back to my GPU or memory though.

I've tried upgrading my drivers for my GPU but that didn't seem to stop my PC from crashing whenever I ran a GPU intensive application. I'm struggling to identify what part of my PC is malfunctioning since I'm brand new to PCs and I really need assistance
since I've been unsuccessful so far and nothing seems to work while things seem to be getting worse, please help, thanks.
