Windows 10: Crashing on steam VR.

Basically, when playing steamvr for around 30 minutes up to 1 hour my pc just freezes completely and then reboots.I found the mini dump files and zipped them on to my desktop what do I do now please.

Windows updater not working; Mixed Reality not seeing my VR headset

Sequence of events:

1. Got a new computer.
   
2. Plugged in my HP Reverb G2, but nothing happened. Went through all the troubleshooting tips with no results.
   
3. Reinstalled Mixed Reality Portal. It opens and says it is downloading, but then crashes. It was suggested that I don't have all the updated installed.
   
4. Went to Windows updater. One item shows needing to be installed: 2024-02 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034848). But then it times out with Download error - 0x80040154.
   

Things I have tried:

• Restarting the updater
  
• Running the trouble shooter
  
• Running command line prompts
  
• Plugging and unplugging the VR headset
  
• Reinstalled drivers
  
• Starting and restarting the computer
  
• Starting the computer in Safe mode and running the installer
  
• Downloading the update file from Microsoft and running it directly. It tells me this update is not for my system.
  
• Using the headset through Steam. Steam also doesn't see the headset.
  
• Every other suggestion found on the internet.
  

Things I have noticed:

• I don't have a SoftwareDistribution folder on my C drive. I do now because I created one from the Explorer, but it doesn't work
  
• Sounds come through on the headset, but not visuals.
  

In the end, I just want to use my VR headset. I don't know if the update is important or not. It shouldn't take a week of frustration to get this to work.
