Windows 10: Crashing to a black screen not BSOD during gaming on a completely fresh install of Win 11

Event viewer just shows "Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation." I have been dealing with crashes for a while now so today bit the bullet and tried a fresh install of windows including clearing all personal data. The only things I have reinstalled are Chrome, Nvidia Geforce Experience, Steam, Steelseries GG and Rust. The crash only seems to happen when I am playing Rust and not during other normal use such as browsing the interent watching youtube etc. I saw in another post that someone was asked to run V2 log collector which i have done and uploaded here: ZAKDESKTOP-202

Windows 11 Black Screen Fresh install

Hello,

I have an issue where I have black screen before I can see the OS login page. The screen actually goes black after bios. I can see a spinning icon and then after that the screen is completely black.

So far I have disabled ASUS drivers from automatically installing, wiped two ssds and have done two fresh installs. After I fresh install Windows 11. Once I get to the point when I can see my desktop from the fresh install. After about 2 - 5 minutes I hear two windows error sounds come from my headphones and then I get a black screen. I reboot the machine from that point and I am back to square one again. Either fresh install windows or be stuck with the black screen.

I am unsure of what to do. I want to say it can't be a hardware issue since the hardware works for so long before I get any issues only when I am in the OS. Could this be a driver that is automatically installing in the background and making my system files corrupt?

Any help would be appreciated.

 

BSOD, Black Screen, and General Freezing while gaming on Windows 10 1909

Recently I was sent a preinstalled Windows 10 Pro 1909 SSD, unable to reinstall different OS version or downgrade without voiding a warranty. Now, I am essentially stuck on Windows 10 1909 and while utilizing it I have run into a specific repeatable issue
that I have tried numerous strategies to repair with no success.

Specs:

• Alienware 17R4
  
• Windows 10 1909 Build 18363.657
  
• 256 GB NVMe M.2 SSD (OS Drive)
  
• 1TB HDD (Secondary Drive)
• Nvidia GTX 1080 (Notebook edition)
• Intel i7-7820HK CPU
• 16GB Memory

Problem: When playing any graphically demanding game (will list a few below), within ~5-20 minutes, the computer will Crash to BSOD (various errors/not consistent message), Crash to Black Screen, or just simply freeze; all of which require
a hard reboot of the device.

• Two of the BSOD errors [UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP and KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED].

Troubleshooting Attempts: Thus far I have tried the following to see what the issue might be

• Ran various hardware performance utilities to diagnose any current hardware issues (None found)
  
• Installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled different Nvidia graphics drivers (Same issue persists)
• Reinstalled fresh edition of Win 10 1909 OS (Same issue presists)
  
• Reinstalled fresh Nvidia driver (version 442.19) after Win 10 reinstall (Same issue persists)
  
• Installed only minimal software to replicate the problem (Steam with 1-3 games) (Same issue persists) [Game Examples: Assassins Creed Odyssey, The Witcher 3, Session, and Wolcen]
  • Was able to play a non-graphically demanding game (Roblox) without crashing
• Installed different gaming software to see if the issue was related to Steam - Blizzard Launcher+ Diablo 3 (Same issue persists)
• Tested if problem occurs while not gaming, running HD video, etc. (Issue does not occur); can run for hours or even days with no problem as long as games are not played

At this point, I am unable to determine the next best course of action to resolve this issue.

 

Win 11 black screen boot after using DDU

Can't boot into safe mode. Tried the above steps but I only get black screen.

How do I do a fresh install of Win 11 if I can't see anything nor boot into BIOS to change startup order to usb?

I don't have another PC to test the GPU.
