Windows 10: Create a desktop shortcut to start a Windows 10 Process

I'm having a problem with the Windows' "Spooler SubSystem App" (spoolsv.exe) on one of my PCs and I've set its startup type in the services control panel to "manual". I almost never print from that PC and it is not connected directly to any printers so I don't anticipate this being a problem, but I would like to be able to start that service easily if I should find I need it. So I'm thinking a desktop shortcut would come in handy. The only problem I'm having is I haven't been able to find instructions on how to create that shortcut (or if it's even possible).

If anyone can point me to a website with instructions or post them here I'd appreciate it.

Keyboard shortcuts to open programs:

Create a shortcut on the desktop to whatever program you want. Right click -> Properties and fill in the field there. Sadly the shortcut needs to remain on the desktop, but you can hide it.

Fun fact: If you had keyboard shortcuts for programs pinned to your Windows 7 start menu, those shortcuts still work when you update to Windows 10.

 

Create Ethernet adapter shortcut on the desktop.

To create the Ethernet shortcut on your desktop, you can follow the step provided below.



Step: Create Ethernet shortcut on the desktop.

1. Press Windows + R key on your keyboard together.
   
2. Type in ncpa.cpl
   and hit enter.
   
3. You will see all your network adapter.
   
4. Right click on your desired adapter and click on
   Create Shortcut and allow the prompt.
   
5. Or you can drag and drop the network adapter on the desktop that will create a shortcut too.
   
6. You can now right on the shortcut on your desktop and disable and enable internet connection.
