When starting, the Microsoft password is requested, I enter the password and it transfer me to the next window , create a PIN, then a window appears, something went wrong, restart or skip. When I press restart, this window appears again and endlessly. When I click skip, it sends me to the start page where I can enter the Microsoft access code and everything repeats again. How start working on my laptop?

How to fix "Something went wrong" creating a Windows hello pin?

I factory reset my laptop and I was trying to download my games again, and when i restarted my laptop it told me i needed to create a Windows hello pin, when i tried to create one it said "Something went wrong" and it wont let me skip it how do I fix this?

Thanks for the info but when I tried your suggestion and web link, I still cannot log in and still get the same issue where I am stuck in the circle. Log in and get directed to the create pin or skip selection. Try to create pin and it keeps saying something went wrong. Tried to skip step and get moved straight to the log back in screen.

To resolve your concern about creating pin to your computer, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Navigate to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC (click to get permission when prompted).
• Delete the contents of that folder (delete everything in that folder, but leave that folder and everything above it).
• Go back to settings, accounts, sign in options.
• Your non-working pin will now be gone, and you can just click 'add a pin' and set it again.
