    At the last stage, before pressing start it will show the windows to go option. It has to be the regular version of Rufus, not the portable version.

    I'm a little confused by the following:

    <<To boot from an external UEFI USB flash drive, be sure to temporarily disable Secure Boot and enable CSM in your UEFI firmware settings until the Windows installation is finished.>>

    I can disable Secure Boot but can find no reference to "enable CSM" in my UEFI BIOS. Where do I find that?

    HP laptop.

    The laptop I'm referring to is not Legacy, Dude. I have two Legacy BIOS and two newer UEFI machines.

    The next one in line for dual boot is my newest laptop; hence my question about UEFI. I have disabled Secure Boot, but haven't found a reference to CSM in the settings.

    Only if it still won't boot from your UEFI USB flash drive when you already disabled Secure Boot and Fast Boot (if available). *Smile

    I've never installed using UEFI before, so this will be something I want to be very careful with. It takes me awhile of studying and reading and studying and reading. *Smile

    Thanks for the warning, Shawn. Everything went fine with Mr. Rufus on the legacy system, so I hope it goes the same here. I have both Secure Boot and Fast Boot disabled, so the next thing is to create a new partition for Windows 10.

    Don't worry. Installing with UEFI is not to bad. Once you do it once, it feel just as easy as it did without it. *Smile

    When I am ready to boot, I get a Boot Options Menu:

    OS Boot Manager (on my hard drive)
    Boot from EFI File (I chose this and got a long line of stuff I didn't understand, so I quit)

    So, did I create a "not so hot" Boot USB? Or is everything OK and I'm choosing the wrong thing?

    Help! Again!
