Windows 10: Create Job to clean transaction log automatically

We are using DB Cluster and FC to provide volume for it. We are deploying Monitoring Appliaction in our systemEvery day, when we add a device and monitor it syncs a lot of logs on the MS SQL 2019 DB Note that for MSSQL we also built HA, including 2 DB with AG and listenerTo deal with it in the short term we have to truncate and delete logs manuallyThe process for it is that we have to remove the AG Available Group all DB had added to AG and change it to simple mode from full mode. By doing that we can shrink the log to save more volume. After cleaning the log we add it to AG

Allowing Local Standard Account Log On As Batch Job Rights

Hi das10 and thanks for the response.

This was my concern that there might be security implications.

So, this was what I did step by step to get to this point:

1. created a task using the information from this link:
How to change the Windows Defender update frequency

2. the task ran successfully but the command prompt window was open as mentioned

At this point the only change I made was to switch in the task from "Run only when user is logged on" to "Run whether user is logged on or not". It was at this time that I was asked for a password, received an error message about rights and batch jobs.

3. I then logged in to the admin account and changed the setting in GPE based on the information here:
Log on as Batch Job Rights for Task Scheduler — danblee.com

I did not set "Run with highest privileges" either in the initial task or after changing the GPE setting.

The task runs as I wanted it to but as you pointed out there may be security implications.

This is a personal/work computer and nobody else has access to it (if that makes a difference).

Are you suggesting I undo the changes to GPE?

Transaction resource manager is not starting

• have you checked if there's a pending Windows update?
  

because error code 0x80071A91 translates to " Transaction support within the specified file system resource manager is not started or was shutdown due to an error. This issue occurs if the Windows file system transaction log is corrupted so running the fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\ in CMD will be the first hand resolution to this.

Nevertheless, try doing this methods

• If the issue persist, we want to confirm if you will consider Reinstalling Windows given that you already backed up your data.
