Windows 10: Creating a notification area popout like MS PowerToys.

I have an app in mind that would suit perfectly in the notification area as a popup. I don't have much experience with .NET so I am unsure where to look in the git-hub repo for it. If someone could point out what liberrys and how it works, I t would be really helpful. It would be greatly appreciated If you could make a bare bones app too.

Startup and Notification area

R]I ran this batch file, but it did not help (which I understand, because Task Manager > Processes does NOT show WinDates).

I am back to the conclusion that Win 10 can run WinDates manually, but not automatically at startup (via link). If I double-click on the link C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\WinDates.lnk, WinDates opens fine.

My next step will be to run a scan of system files to see if something is corrupt. However, any other suggestions are welcome.

• Open Start menu, type Settings and click on it.
• On the left pane click on Notifications and actions.
• Under 'Show notifications from these apps' you may choose the settings you want.

• Select Properties.
• Untick Show taskbar on all displays; then, Apply.
• Drag the remaining primary monitor taskbar to the screen you want.
• Tick Show taskbar on all displays.
