Windows 10: Creating a system image backup from The C drive to the internal D drive

Hi there,I want to do a clean windows 11 installation and i want to backup my Apps,games,files,documents and etc. Except for the drivers which they're causing problem's.I have 2 SSD drives, 1- C/Drive for system and windows and 2- The D/Drive for anything else...Can i create a system image backup from C drive to the D drive without the D drive files and apps and games being deleted/replaced with the system image backup from the C drive?And if it won't be deleted, can you help me how to create a proper system image backup and how to restore it after a clean windows 11 installation to the system

I want to know if by what you see, am i able to use say AOmei backupper to create a full system backup of my C drive and place those files on my D drive and when my sytem crashes or when an update crashes my computer if I am able to reinstall that backup from my D drive to reinstall that backup back onto my C drive?? cause as i said when i tried using Aomei using the restore option I could NOT chose the backup file from the D drive because my D drive wa not even Listed in the Aomei restore option to do so? and if its not being listed WHY? so if I cant use the internal D drive to store and reinstall from it using any software then trying to create backups is just wasting my time but i really want to backup so I dont have to continually do complete reinstalls from scratch of my windwos 10 pro iso ...

still my question is not answered, should i be able to backup a system backup to my D drive and then use a program such as Aomei Backupper to restore a crashed C drive with that backup from my D drive??? thats all i need to know? I have read in other forums thatt windows 10 doesnt allow backups on a seperate internal drive like my D Drive to reinstall that image back onto the C drive?? is that true ? as i said I cant purchase a external portable drive im broke which is why i wanted to backup internally in case of system crash on my C drive..

I've never had any issues with Macrium Reflect Free rescue drive seeing my internal D: drive. I would suggest you try it again and look better for files on D: drive.

UPDATE: So I booted into a freshly created Macrium Reflect rescue USB flash drive. When I browsed for image files to restore from, my normal C: drive partition did not have a drive letter (although my second data SATA drive did get a drive letter). Now, I don't know if it was because I created the rescue drive from Macrium Reflect installed on C: drive or not. Anyway, the solution to the missing drive letter was to click on the icon for command prompt. Run diskpart. Then I selected the partition missing the drive letter and was able to assign a drive letter to it. In my case it was:
