    Hi,I'd like to create a WEP or unsecured mobile hotspot from my windows 10 laptop. I understand that this is insecure and not recommended however I want to use it to connect a device a nintendo DS to the internet that does not support proper WPA security, and having this as my windows hotspot is the best option as it allows me to easily turn off the network when the DS is not in use. However, creating a hotspot through the menu or through the netsh command both create a hotspot that is using WPA encryption. Is there any way to create an unencrypted or WEP hotspot in windows 10?Thanks,Nico

    No WEP Connection Lumia 520

    You should not be using WEP anyway, it is extremely unsecure and an outdated protocol. It is also know that certain WEP chipsets are very picky about connecting devices and often do not do so. It's far more likely an issue with yoru repeater then with the
    phone.



    In any case I woudl certainly suggest you get a mopre secure setup.
