Windows 10: Creating Answer File For Windows 10 1703/1709

Hello All,

Hoping that you have a nice day, i moved to IT department at my company , dealing with several notebooks every day needing a fresh installation is a little bit hard and wasting a lot of time so i started to search how to automate the installation of Windows 10 and auto install the main applications that must be installed to every device.

Already know about the Windows answers file but it's my first time to do it, i found only one website that seems to be popular at creating the files but it never succeed to complete the installation specially at final login

Also i need to know if there any update shall be done to the file that doesn't skip or auto format the HDD as not all notebooks are new and need re-partition and losing data will cause a lot of problems.

So what is the correct way to create the file while controlling every setting to get the best out of it ?

Question regarding Windows 10 Version 1709 Clean Install and Activation with a Digital License.

Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't really answer my question.

It's a very simple question that needs a very simple answer. The laptop presently has 1703. If I do a clean install using the user created USB of 1709, will it activate with a digital license without issue, or do I first need to upgrade it to 1709 through
Windows update, allow it to activate with the digital license, then perform the clean install of 1709? Do the versions matter (as in 1703 vs 1709), or do the digital license and the activation servers only care that it's Windows 10?

I really hate copy/paste answers that don't answer the question, or maybe do, but in some convoluted way. I don't care about product keys. I don't need one.

Yes, it will activate when performing a clean install of 1709.

No, you must first upgrade to 1709 through Windows Update, allowing it to activate with the digital licence, then perform the clean install.

 

How to downgrade from Windows 1709 to 1703 ?

I have a problem while I am playing PUBG and I found that windows 1703 doesnt has any problem with PUBG but when I created USB for re-install windows 10 and try to install, windows 10 version still 1709. How to downgrade 1709 to 1703 ?

Checked the tutorial, i don't thing that it will do a fully unattended installation , it seems to be on an old version of windows which is changed now cuz of Cortana and adding keyboard languages while the first startup

 

Maybe post your question in that thread, and the tutorial author will be able to help.
