    Creating Data Backup - Windows 10


    I have an SDD (C-Drive) for running all my Windows 10 applications with a system restore setup.

    I do not keep much data on that, and I am not so concerned.

    However, I also have sub-drive (E-Drive) for data only and have 2 other drives (F&G Drive) of same size that I would like to have an exact copy on automated backup for E Drvie

    I would prefer to have the backup copies full accessible, meaning not an image file, compressed file, zipped or what ever other methods backups do. Just have the data in same accessible state as the origin drive.

    Can this be achieved with the Windows 10 native backup application?

    Windows 10

    its already there. there is a hard set factory image from samsung. problem is it takes a long time to get that backup into the drive again and destroys the C drive data.

    Hello there, @fullinfusion!

    It seems like some sort of an OS confusion has happened with your secondary WD Black and I'm sorry to hear about that. *Frown Creating Data Backup - Windows 10 :(
    Maybe re-formatting it would help indeed as the community already mentioned. I'd suggest to take a look at this step-by-step how to partition and format an HDD: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=PYCoid
    Keep in mind that this will wipe clean the drive, so you should backup all important data from the drive somewhere else.
    I noticed from the screenshots that your HDD appears as Disk 0, this means that it's plugged in the primary SATA port where the SSD (as an OS drive) should be. Actually it is possible that because of this Windows cannot create the image there. Swap the ports of the SSD and the HDD, this might help as well.
