    Creating Desktop Shortcuts in Windows 11


    I have done many things to try to create desktop shortcuts, and none of them work. When I drag and drop from the Windows app tray, it has the little loading icon for a split second before not working. The same thing happens with the Open file location --Right click--Show More Options--Send To-- Desktop create shortcut.I also did the method with the command prompt, with no results. The shortcut settings in themes are all on and my computer has been restarted many times, but to no avail. Please help

    Windows 11 - Creating desktop shortcut became annoying!!

    I have been using Windows 11 for quite some days. And found difficulty in setting the desktop shortcut for apps. In previous Windows versions, we can simply create desktop shortcuts by right-clicking the app and selecting "Send to --> Desktop(create shortcut)". Now it takes 2 to 3 steps to create a shortcut which is annoying. Can we expect this feature to get added in upcoming updates?

    Create Ethernet adapter shortcut on the desktop.

    To create the Ethernet shortcut on your desktop, you can follow the step provided below.



    Step: Create Ethernet shortcut on the desktop.



    1. Press Windows + R key on your keyboard together.
    2. Type in ncpa.cpl
      and hit enter.
    3. You will see all your network adapter.
    4. Right click on your desired adapter and click on
      Create Shortcut and allow the prompt.
    5. Or you can drag and drop the network adapter on the desktop that will create a shortcut too.
    6. You can now right on the shortcut on your desktop and disable and enable internet connection.
