Windows 10: Creating Hotkey for Disabling Wi-Fi/Enabling Flight Mode on DESKTOP Win10

Hello all,

I've been trying various methods from Google to do what's specified in the title but unfortunately none of the three I found actually works for me... So, as I described, I'm looking for a way to create a keyboard shortcut to quickly disable my Wi-Fi or enable my flight mode on a desktop Windows 10 PC. According to Google search results I've tried creating desktop shortcuts with the following target locations and then assigning keyboard shortcuts to them:

%windir%\explorer.exe %LocalAppData%\Packages\windows.immersivecontrolpanel_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Indexed\Settings\en-US\AAA_SettingsPageNetworkAirplaneMode.settingcontent-ms

netsh interface set interface name="Wi-Fi" admin = disabled

On the second method I changed "Wi-Fi" to the name of the wireless network I'm looking to disable. Unfortunately atm I'm unable to find the target location for the third method I tried... I've been running all of them as admin ofc, but as I said, none of them actually turns off my Wi-Fi instantly. It's either just throwing me into the settings page for airplane mode or not doing anything at all...

Would be glad and thankful if anyone found a method that actually works and can share it with me.

Icon wi-fi and flight mode switched, how to solve this?


Hi, guys
i have a little problem about wi-fi icon and flight mode icon.
i am using windows 10 for a year, but last time, suddenly my wi-fi icon turned to flight mode.
so when my flight mode is off, the wi-fi icon is "plane". but when my flight mode is on the icon is "wi-fi".
its also when i turn on/off flight mode using keyboard fn+flight mode its notification is swapped. when flight mode is off, the notification is "flight mode is on". i don't have any idea where was the problem, i tried to rebuild icon cache but doesn't make any change. help me please..?

 

Windows 10: Both flight Mode and Wi-fi Both are On in the Action Center Notification.

Glad to know that the method 1 is working partially regarding the issue with Flight mode.

To assist you to better, please provided us the information below:

• What is the make and model of the computer?

I suggest you to try to install the update or install latest version of Wi-Fi driver from the computer manufacturers' website and check if it helps.

Wi-fi not working

I suggest you to run the below troubleshooter and check.

Run the build-in network troubleshooter

Follow the steps:

• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the Search box from the desktop.
  
• 
  Select the Troubleshooting option.
  
• 
  Select View All option and select the Network Adapter.
  
• 
  Click on Next to perform the Network Adapter troubleshooter and follow the steps.
  

Note:

Airplane mode is a setting that gives you a quick way to turn off all wireless communication that are already enabled on your PC. Once you turn on Airplane mode, you can turn an individual Wi-Fi connection ON even in Airplane mode. This disable all other
connection except the enabled Wi-Fi connection. This is not a bug/problem as this was also available in Windows 8.1. I suggest you to refer
