Creating larger Recovery partition to correct KB5034441 install failure - Win10 Pro

I have a similar problem to several I have read in this community. I am trying to enlarge my WinRE partition to correct windows update error. I discovered that my System disk had 2 recovery partitions, one at the beginning of the disk 449 MB and one at the end of the disk 545 MB. In Diskpart I discovered that it was partition 5 that was active. So I deleted the other partition 451 MB and acquired unallocated space. However, I then discovered that I cannot use this unallocated space to extend partition 5 active recovery partition because it is not contiguous. Disk 3 is the system

    Johann,

Followed your instructions and everything worked. The Recovery partition now is after the OS partition and update KB5034441 installed without any issue.

    Thank you,

Creating larger Recovery partition to correct KB5034441 install failure

    Johan,

I have the same goal of increasing my recovery partition size to 1GB. Current size is 522MB and I can't see options in Disk mgmt to expand it ("Help" is the only option), so i've created a new 1GB partition.

Can you please assist with the cmd lines I need to either extend my current recovery partition (4), or delete that and format the new 1GB partition (5) for recovery?

    Output:

Creating larger Recovery partition to correct KB5034441 install failure

Can I delete the existing Recovery partition, shrink the OS partition, create a new partition for the Recovery with 1024 MB and leave the original Recovery partition that was deleted as unassigned?
