Windows 10: Creating PC Image Windows 7/10

Hello everyone,,
I'm in need of help in creating a windows image. Everywhere I go it seems lots of information is missing when creating one such as using sysprep, adk ecc. Is there an official guide available where I can get all instructions on how to create one. Also, using third party software such as ghost or acronys.

Backup and Restore is different from System Imaging. I have created numerous images using Windows 7 and Windows 10, 8.1/8.0 and even Complete PC Backup in Vista Business and Ultimate. Never experienced a problem.

 

When and how to back up computer

I would recommend creating a system image backup as it captures an exact image of all the files and application installed in your PC. You can check out this article for information on System image backup:

To create a system image backup from a Windows 10 PC, open control panel and click on the 'View by' option on the top right to large icons. Click on "Windows 7 restore and backup' and then click on 'create a system image backup' in the left pane. Follow
the prompts to create a system image backup.

 

Can you be more specific as to what you are trying to accomplish? Is it for Windows 7 or Windows 10? Are you needing an image to deploy to other systems, or just a backup of your computer in the event you need to restore?

Making the image is very simple...once we know the details.

I would say maybe an image of a computer to restore. Your reply now has prompted me to another question. Would an image to deploy to other system disregard the PC's brand? My company has different vendor, such as HP, Lenovo or Dell.
I would say it will be for windows 10 since they're moving away from win 7.
