  2. BitLocker on Windows 10 Home edition

Windows 10 Home addition CAN read and write to bitlocker drives BUT you must create those drives on another Windows 8 Pro or 10 Pro computer. For example: I want to use a secure USB flash drive to carry around and use on all of my computers. I first
create USB flash drive - bitlocker password on another Windows 8 or Windows 10 Pro computer and then all of my windows 7, 8, 10 computers can fully use that USB flash drive. Windows 10 Home addition can't MAKE bitlocker drives.

  3. Will the windows 10 update interfere with the recovery partition on the hard drive.

    OEM created? Windows 8.1 created?

If an OEM created it with their own recovery methodology - no idea what will happen with it. Should be left alone, but it'll probably fail to work afterwards.

Windows 10 won't make use of such partitions, so it'll probably be removed if it is part of Windows 8/8.1. You may want to move it to a USB stick or something... [

Just depends on which operating system you want to install on it.

You mean it won't let you download from the internet? You are either going to have to find a computer that will let you download the ISO file and make the USB, or purchase a copy of Windows that comes with the install media.

Sounds like you are not the owner of this other PC since you do not have Admin authority. If so why are you trying to install an OS there?

  10. My PC is not working so I went to the leasing center. That is why there is a password and I'm trying to load onto a USB drive not the PC.

You have any friends that will let you use their computers or make the USB drive for you? Not only do you have to download the file, you also have to burn a USB/DVD from it - you can't just copy the file over. The whole process from beginning to end takes about 20 minutes with a decent internet download rate.
