  1. “credentials could not be verified”

every time i try to log on to my laptop, it tells me my pin/credentials could not be verified and to retry. when i do that i get this:

“Something went wrong and your PIN isn't available (status: Oxc000006d, substatus: Oxc000005e). Click to set up your PIN again”

i click that and go through signing into my microsoft account and such and try to actually set it up and i get this:

“something went wrong. we weren’t able to set up your pin. you can try again, or skip this step and set up a pin later.”

i keep retrying and it does not work. so i click the skip for now and i can get into my account.

it’s just a lot of work to get into my account and i would like to get in using my pin regularly.

i’ve looked up on forums how to fix this and i’ve tried changing my pin, tried going into safemode and nothing seems to help.

i really appreciate some insight and thank you in advanced “credentials could not be verified” :)

    Hi Keith,

We suggest that you disable Credential Manager before mapping your Drives. Please follow these steps to disable Credential Manager:

    • In the search box type “Services
    • Right click on “Services” and select “Run as Administrator
    • In the Services Window, look for Credential Manager Service and click “Stop”.
    • Restart the computer and go back the Credential Manager Service and set it to “Automatic”.
    • Restart the computer again.

Please keep us updated if you were able to map your drives.
