    Critical Error


    Hello, I've recently experienced a "critical error" which ended in a blue screen. In event viewer , the event is Id: 41 and task category 63. There is also a "error" prompted the same time just seconds apart with the Event Id: 137 and task: 2. This hasn't been the only time this blue screen has happened. The message on the blue screen prompts Video TDR failure and my AMD drivers are always up to date have a radeon 5600xt. I am all ears as to how to fix this occurrence. Thank you for your time.

    I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

    I would suggest you to follow the steps:

    • Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
    • Click File > Run New Task.
    • Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”.
    • Type CMD.
    • Type the following commands at the CMD prompt:

      powershell

      Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
    • Close the CMD window.
    • Check to see if the issue is resolved. If not, restart the PC.
    Also refer to the suggestions provided by Ravinath and check.

    “Critical Error – Start menu and Cortana aren’t working. We’ll try to fix it the next time you sign in.”
