Discus and support Critical Errors in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; I received these two errors twice earlier this afternoon.     I received these two errors twice earlier this afternoon. I have three hard drives, ran chkds on all and it found no problems and did sfc/scannow and also no probalems

    1:

The name of the file is "\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\cpu.inf_amd64_196b740ff5a0be6d". The corrupted index attribute is ":$I30:$INDEX_ALLOCATION".

    Hi MrOctober

    If I'm reading this correctly, and I'm sure someone will let me know if I haven't, it appears both your errors are in

    "HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy2"

    It is my understanding that you can delete these copies however I'm not sure what you may be running in addition to Windows services that might be using Shadow copies. Macrium and Acronis come to mine. Do you have File History enabled.

    I could suggest this.

    I would create a restore point. Might even try creating a Macrium Image backup.

    Then I would open file explorer, right click on c:, click on properties. On general tab click disk cleanup, after it processes, click on clean up system files. When it finishes you will notice a new tab, “More options”. Click on More options tab. At the bottom of this screen is the option to clean up restore points and shadow copies. You will get a warning that they will all be deleted except the newest. Proceed.

    You can either finish the cleanup or cancel out. There are commands to delete individual copies if you wish to google.

    I would then ensure if you are using Macrium or Acronis or other Imaging software I would create a new image to ensure no corruption has made it way to those backups.

    You can google Shadow copies and read about them. Hoping others may jump in here.
