Windows 10: Critical Proces Died!

Hello guys, I'm really in need of some help here! Sorry for a long post, but trying to give you as much info as I can.

I have an MSI GP73RE( I8 8750H, GTX 1060 , INTEL 760P SSD as main drive, and a 1TB WD HDD ).

Last night, I was messing around with ThrottleStop (I've had it for a year now and it worked well). I thought I could crank some setting even more,and I went and decreased CPU core clock to like -160MHz.

Laptop crashed, and since then everything that's happening is BSOD with critical process died. No system restore image is working(I have 3 of them-it goes through the process of restoring and says it wasn't successful) Can't boot to safemode-same BSOD error. Ran all the CMD checks and repairs for disks,no errors there.

I can still access Notepad from CMD and I see all my files and drives-does that mean it's not the SSD or HDD failure?

One weird thing. For the first time since I own laptop,when BSOD started,so last night, when my laptop gets to a point of rotating circles(after BIOS) loading, I can hear the tiniest screeching noise??? Why ,and why now? Probably HDD?

Do you have any ideas on how to repair this thing through CMD or what could cause this?

Is there a way I can recover? Tomorrow I will try the reimaging of Windows through USB. If that doesn't work, can someone help how to save my files-from SSD (there's not a lot,but they are extremely important).

Critical procees died

The minidump files show both UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION and CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED errors.

This usually indicates a hardware issue.

I might suggest to try updating the BIOS as you may need a BIOS update to fully support Windows 10.

If updating the BIOS back up critical files beforehand as the rare chance of a failed BIOS update may result in in system failure.

Ive just opened event viewer as you suggested but I cant seem to find any error that says "critical process died"



I have attached a screenshot of the event viewer. I have scrolled to the bottom to where it first booted up.

Ive downloaded the software you sent the link for but I'm not sure how to use it as nothing shows up when I load it.

To resolve your concern about the critical process died in Windows 10, we suggest that you do the system diagnostics. Here are the steps:

• Boot your computer and continuously press ESC key on your keyboard until you reach the
  Startup menu.
  
• From the Startup menu, press F2 (or whatever the designated key is) for
  System Diagnostics.
• Use arrow keys to navigate and choose Hard Drive Check.
• Choose Extensive Check.

Allow it to finish then boot your computer as normal.
