Windows 10: Critical Process died windows 11. I have a restore point but I can't enable system protection.

Last week, I switched to windows 11. When I turned my PC on, I couldn't login because I just saw a blue screen that said 'critical process died'. I created a restore point the day before that hapenned, but I can't use it because I have to enable system protection for my C drive. Does anyone have a solution for this? I need one as soon as possible.

Hi,

Been facing a issue and just cant seem to fix it.

Windows 10 just stopped loading with the blue screen giving error Critical Process Died

I have tried loading in safe mode but this does not work and I get the same error above.

I then tried to do a system restore and I can see three restore points but under the status is says "you must enable system protection on this drive" and will not let me click next.

I cannot load windows to enable the protection but can access command prompt.

any suggestions as to how I can get windows running again?

I would really like don't want to lose any of my files

critical process died, stopcode error

I have the same error. It started after yesterday's update. I've tried to boot into safe mode with the same error. "Critical Process Died." I can't use system restore because it gives a status of "You must enable system protection on this drive." There are
plenty of restore points to choose from.

 

Windows 10 Critical Process Died

Hi,

Few days ago when i start my Laptop it showed Blue screen with Error code -
critical process died.

I am using Dell Studio -1558 with windows 10 64 bit installed.

I have dual boot - Ubuntu installed.

Diagnostics status so far :

* Automatic repair couldn't solve the issue.

* Couldn't enter in safe mode either( same blue screen with Critical process died arises).

* Tried Removing and replacing RAM, CMOS battery.

* System Restore cannot be done(Trouble Shoot -> Advanced option -> System Restore)

> It says You must enable system protection on this drive.

As per this link -

Rstrui.exe /offline:C:\windows=active

Tried this command from command prompt.

System Restore opens and proceeds successfully. But It shows G drive as System Drive and
C drive is Greyed out (unable to select this drive to restore).

In the end, I have No idea how to proceed further.

However I am trying other possible ways from my end.

Meanwhile, If someone has solution on how to resolve this, please suggest me.
