Windows 10: Crucial SSD Momentum Cache drivers in Windows 11

How do I get the crucial SSD momentum cache drivers to install correctly in Windows 11?

Hi, I have downloaded crucial executive for my SSD and on one page there is a button to enable the drives momentum cache. Also on this page is a warning that my PC is not battery backuped so enabling momentum cache is at my own risk. I backup my SSD to a Hitachi mechanical drive every day.

Two questions, as I backup every day is the possibility of data loss on the boot SSD due to power loss and the cache enabled a moot point. The second question is the Ssd is a 6gb drive connected to a data 3.0gb interface, will enabling the cache see much performance improvement and will the cache save some Nand cells from being written to extending the life of the drive?

Radeon Rx6650XT
Intel I5 11500-F
Crucial Ballistix BL2K8G30C15U4R 3000 MHz DDR4 16GB
SSD Crucial 500GB
Motherboard Gigabyte Z590 UD AC ATX

Before I installed this new update the system run as smooth as always, in the aftermath though it would take from 2-5 minutes to turn on the PC and I encountered several shattering animations and unseldom drawbacks such us worse performance in games even where CPU was at low usage 2-10%. Checking the graphs in the PC activities I noticed that the SSD memory had spikes in usage even though I was only opening the Windows research bar. To fix it I so decided to instal Crucial proprietary software and go over the Momentum Cache, which is a Storage Executive functionality which increments writing performances.

Hope this could been useful for anyone with the mutual performance issues

Thank you for contacting Crucial.

Please use the following steps:-

- Uninstall Storage Executive and re-install the latest version
- Right-click Storage Executive icon and select "Run as Administrator"
- Ensure correct version of Storage Executive is installed for Windows version (32-bit or 64-bit)
- Update any outdated drivers for installed components, particularly the system chipset and SATA controller (if not using built-in Windows drivers with a SATA SSD)
- Try different SATA ports. If multiple colors of SATA header are present on a motherboard, try whichever one the SSD is not currently plugged into.
- Check that the system chipset supports the Operating System they are using. (If you check for SATA drivers, ensure they are listed against the OS they are using. For example a laptop running Win 10 that only has driver support up to Win 7 may simply not support SE)
- Some older chipsets are not fully supported by SE (nVidia and ATi chipsets)

If your issue still persist please provide us the following details:
• SSD model
• System/motherboard model
• Windows version
• BIOS mode (AHCI, IDE, RAID)
• SATA drivers used

I'm beginning to think that "uninstall permanently" is not a bad idea.
