    Crypted Files - How do I decrypt them?


    All the files on my Windows 10 personal computer end with ".crypted" and it's not allowing me to open them. I also have a partition that is unable to open any files as well. I'm not sure if this is the same as encrypting something, but I know I don't have an encryption key of some sort. Is this some sort of virus? How do I get my files back?

    • Are you getting any error messages? If yes, what is the exact error message?

    Crypted files

    When trying to open my pictures today, it appears that they have all been "crypted", they now show up as Adobe files. Adobe won't open them because their crypted. They are pictures transferred from the phone and/or my camera on my last computer and transferred
    to the new computer. Transfer was in April '16 and they were ok, but something has happened since. Are they lost? Should I remove them from the computer. Someone suggested going into properties and removing the encryption, but it doesn't show as bein checked
    in properties. Thanks in advance.
