Windows 10: crypto library internal error

Adobe Digital Signatures - Crypto Errors


I've used a digital signature for a while but lately when trying to apply it, I am getting the following error:

Key generation error:
Internal cryptographic library error
Error Code 0x2719

I have no idea how to fix this. I found an article that says rename the Crypto folder but Windows is not letting me. do that either. When I try that I get the error seen in the pic below.





I've also tried creating a brand new signature but I am getting the same errors.

I am not sure what is going on here. I would appreciate any thoughts on fixing this. Thanks.

 

Artifacting, Crypto library internal error, and critical process died error in Windows 10

I had gotten a virus, and reflashed windows due to not being able to remove it. When I reflashed windows, I experience audio, and visual artifacting on both my integrated graphics (hd530), and with my 980ti. Programs dont work correctly and often close
or restart, and I occasionally get bsod (critical process died, and crypto library internal error). I have reflashed windows multiple times, with different versions, and installation media, but the problem still persists. I have ran memtest86 with no resulting
errors from all 4 passes, and Windows install fails every single time when I try to install on a different drive every time regardless of the installation media. I have also tried booting with a different ssd that already has windows 10 on it but I experience
artifacting on that OS as well. What could be the problem?

 

MS Crypto Library and Keys

Using the following:

Provider Name: Microsoft Enhanced RSA and AES Cryptographic Provider

Type: AES

Algorithm: AES 128

Mode: CBC

Ok, I thought when encrypting and decrypting string data (not communications), the MS crypto library would create a new key if one was not available. For a setup with just a workstation (Win 7 Pro in this case), the path to the keys is:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys or

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-18

Which is were I find keys that are dated from a few weeks ago, to last year. If I delete the keys in both folders, and decrypt using the above setup,
no new keys are created. And if I encrypt data and store it, no keys are created.

The encryption and decryption work with no errors and the string data is successfully viewed after it is decrypted.

I did notice sometimes there is a new Folder, dated the same date and time as my decryption took place, in:

C:\Users\MyUserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA

But, the folder is empty, or at least Windows Explorer says it's empty.

Under what circumstances would the MS Crypto library create a new key(s)?

And, where would the key(s) be located?
