    Crystals forming in model!!


    I find 3D builder to have it's limitation but one of the frustrating things about it is that it takes hours to merge or repair models. After lots of faffing around i found that when i zoomed into the model tiny crystals had formed. What the heck are they, where do they come from and how do stop them?

    Star Trek crystal discs?

    Not yet...but maybe our children's, children will be using crystals like Star Trek, Superman style as home recording/ playback devices. I'm assuming they use a quartz base because of the vibrating nature of the crystal when hit with certain light frequencies. Small steps first. *Smile

    3D builder - Crystals: When i split an object in 3d builder i get something which i can only describe as 'crystals'. From then on it is nearly impossible to repair the model. Any ideas why this should happen and how to stop it? This particular piece has been repairing for 8 hours...

    Crystal Disk Benchmark results on SSD's and Spinners: Just did a quick CrystalDiskMark benchmark on my son's computer. His OS drive is an Intel 600p NVMe drive. [img] His storage drive is a Seagate Barracuda 2TB 64MB Cache 7,200RPM spinner (ST2000DM006). [img] Guess the SSD is a tad faster. 78937
