    Hi:Laptop: HP Zbook, running Windows 10 EnterpriseI've had this problem for a few weeks now. Intermittently, my ctrl hotkeys will only generate symbols and not function as intended.Example:Ctrl+a select all instead produces ⍺ alphaCtrl+w bold produces ⍵Ctrl+s save produces ⌈, etc.I see this in every application: powerpoint, notepad, chrome address bar, etc.1. I thought it was my keyboard, but the onscreen keyboard does this as well2. Applications on my remote desktop don't seem to be affectedI've applied a driver update for HP Hotkeys. That didn't fix it.This is intermittent. I don't k

    I didn't found it official shortcut list, so I ask here.

    Are there are any shortcuts/hotkeys to

    • loop though text suggestions
    • insert the text suggestion

    keyboard hotkeys with ctrl partially working

    Nirsoft does not find any used crtl+<number>
    I thought it might be chrome who's using this combination for tab switching but even after uninstalling it (with revo) the issue persisted. Even with just English with ctrl+0 and Hebrew is ctrl+1, only ctrl+0 works: I can go Hebrew with shift+left alt and back to English with ctrl+0. Also, the hotkey ctrl+1 becomes unassigned after reboot

    resetting keyboard symbols

    Hi Carol,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    I would suggest you to remove English UK and just have the default English US under keyboard input language and check.

    Step 1:To keep English US as the default input language and to remove other installed services

    a. Type Settings in the search bar and click on the setting symbol on the top right.

    b. Click on Time and Languages.

    c. Click on Region and Languages.

    d. Under the languages tab.

    e. Click and Change the language to English US.

    Step 2:Use on screen keyboard to type the characters (@, “)

    To use on-screen keyboard, follow the steps below.

    a. Click on Start; type “On-screen” without quotes and hit Enter.

    b. Now check if you’re able to get right characters.
