Windows 10: Ctrl key working with a delay

I have a big incognito here: After some time without using my laptop kinda month, both ctrl keys "stopped"

work in some specific functions like Ctrl + A, Ctrl + C and Ctrl + X, but when I do a Ctrl + click in a web browser link to

open in a new tab, works fine, also, when I have something in my clipboard and do a Ctrl + V works again.



Investigating I realized that the problem isn't a "not working key" at all, but a delay of some milliseconds

between ctrl key and A, for example. If I press Ctrl, release the key and immediately press "A", I do a "Ctl + A" or any other command

which is not working.





To finish, when I try my keyboard on an online tester or virtual keyboard or USB keyboard both Ctrl keys

works fine.



P.S. I did all these tests and reinstalled my windows too.

Method 1: To check if Ctrl keys work in Onscreen keyboard.

• Press Windows Key + R and type osk and hit Enter.

Try using Ctrl keys and check if that helps.

if you still face the issue, try Method 2.

Method 2: Run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with the Bluetooth adapter. Refer these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X, select
  Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
  
• 
  Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

CTRL Keys not working.

I tried all the above methods, but still it is not working. I noticed that the onscreen keyboard is working with the CTRL and also I tried connecting an external keyboard. That worked too. I don't understand how both the CTRL stopped working suddenly as
I don't even use the right CTRL much.

If you're also experiencing the same, have you also tried using external keyboards and see if it makes any difference? Have you also checked if the CTRL keys work on onscreen keyboard? If you still haven't, just press
Windows Key + R and type osk and hit Enter. By the way, when you say you've already "tried the troubleshooting", do you mean
Hardware and Device Troubleshooter? If not, you can follow the steps below:
