Windows 10: Ctrl + Left/Right Arrow key not working properly

Ctrl key and left and right arrow keys are not working in windows in whole sysytem, not only in ms office. In order to move from the begining of a word to to end of a word normally by pressing ctrl key first and then pressing right arrow key I have to press ctrl key 1st and then right arrow key and then I have to release the ctrl key already pressed. Same issue is there for moving right to left of a word. Ctrl key and up and down arrow keys are working properly. Also ctrl and arrows keys are working properly in other shortcuts.Because of this issue I am not able to use Win key + ctrl + le

I am facing a problem with laptop keyboard.

Right and left arrow keys are not working properly. Whenever I press them it won't move or move too farther.

 

Windows Key + CTRL + Right Doesn't Work (Desktop Switch)

Hi,

I love the new multiple desktops. However, the desktop switch isn't working for me.

It's an odd bug...

Windows Key + (left) CTRL + Right Arrow Key will not work, but Windows Key + (left) CTRL + Left Arrow Key will work.

Both the left and right arrow keys work when I use the right CTRL key, and the left CTRL key works perfectly fine using an external keyboard.

Any suggestions?

I'm Jin, a fellow Windows 10 user and an independent advisor.

I understand that the right and left arrow keys of your keyboard isn't working properly.

Here are some list that you help you determine the cause and possible fixes:

**There could be some dirt or debris that fall on to that keys and can obstruct for it to work properly. Try removing the key and clean the area.

**If it's the function keys that are not working, you may have toggled the F-lock key. F-Lock key is used to turn on or off.

**Some keys aren't used in certain programs. Test the keys that isn't working on other programs such Word, Notepad or your web browser.

**Program interference. Run Windows in safe mode and check if the issue will appear:
Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10

**Driver issue. Visit your device's manufacturer website and download the latest keyboard driver.

You can also start troubleshooting the keyboard via Device Manager.

1. Press Windows key + R, type devmgmt.msc then hit Enter.

2. Click on Keyboards.

2. Right-click on the keyboard driver.

3. Select Update this driver.

If updating doesn't help, click on uninstall this driver instead. Then restart your device.

**Defective Keyboard. If you've tried all the suggestions above and its still not working, most likely the keyboard is damaged or defective and needs to be replaced.
