Ctrl+Shift changes language once in 2-5 tries

Since I installed Windows 11, I keep facing this issue.I use multiple languages in Windows for typing: English, russian, Ukrainian. To switch between them I use Ctrl+Shift key combination. And now, this combination works once in 2-5 times. It's definitely not the problem in keyboard buttons, as I have this issue on multiple devices - my home PC, and work notebook. At the same time, Win+Space works fine, but it is less convenient, so I prefer to use Ctrl+Shift. But it is very frustrating to look each time whether the language was changed after I pressed the combination and repeating it over and ov

  2. Why the hell was SHIFT+ALT replaced by CTRL+SHIFT to change keyboard layouts (with the last updates ?)

Hi, my name is Kelly, and I'm an independent consultant and I'm here to help.

I understand that you are frustrated with the change in the keyboard layout switching shortcut from SHIFT+ALT to CTRL+SHIFT. It can be challenging to adapt to a new shortcut, especially when it conflicts with another common shortcut you use.

The reason for this change is that the CTRL+SHIFT shortcut is more commonly used across different applications and operating systems, making it a more standardized and universal option. However, I understand that this change has caused inconvenience for users like yourself who are used to using SHIFT+ALT.

If you want to change the keyboard layout switching shortcut back to SHIFT+ALT, you can do so by following these steps:

Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language.

Under the "Preferred languages" section, click on "Options" next to the language you want to change the shortcut for.

Click on "Add a keyboard" and select the keyboard layout you want to use.

Click on "Advanced keyboard settings" and scroll down to the "Switching input methods" section.

Click on "Change language bar hot keys" and select "Between input languages" from the list.

Click on "Change Key Sequence" and select "Not Assigned" for both "Switch Input Language" and "Switch Keyboard Layout".

Click "OK" to save your changes.

After following these steps, you can use SHIFT+ALT to switch between keyboard layouts on your Windows device. I hope this helps alleviate some of the frustration you have been experiencing.

  3. Ctrl+Shift Shortcuts Not Working

I have been having issues with my Ctrl+Shift keybinds for months now. I have been researching on every site I can find about this issue. I've tried changing Sticky Keys, I've tried changing Filter Keys, I've tried checking my keyboard settings, I've tried changing settings in Text Services and Input Languages, I've tried Ease of Access, I've even tried changing keyboards. The following are all Microsoft Answers threads recommended to me by Google:

I have tried literally everything suggested in all of these threads, and NOTHING WORKS, it is that stubborn. Considering that there are multiple threads regarding this issue, which yes, I did research this before I started asking this, I am 100% conviced this has to do with system updates. What do I even do at this point?

  4. Ctrl+Shift changes language once in 2-5 tries

    Alt-Shift doesn't change language

I just started using Win 10 home.

At the beginning all was working fine, but suddenly it stopped changing language input with the alt-shift keys.

I tried changing the language bar hot keys.

When i'm changing it to Ctrl+Shift, it's working.

But when I change it back to Alt+Shift, it doesn't work.

    PLEASE HELP

    I can't work like this.
