Windows 10: Ctrl+V not pasting images/pictures in Windows 10

After a recent Windows 10 update KB5008212, KB4023057 and 21H2, I have been having difficulty pasting copied images or screenshots using Ctrl+V. I have to right-click and choose the 'picture paste' option instead to paste the image/picture. Is there a way to get Ctrl+V to paste images again?Thanks in advance,Deb

Paste a another picture in to paint

Try this:

1. Open mspaint.exe
2. Press Ctrl+V to insert the picture into the top left corner.
3. Use your mouse to drag the picture out of the way.
4. Capture a new picture.
5. Press Ctrl+V to insert the picture into the top left corner. You will now have two pictures side by side.
6. Continue with Step 3 above.

Try the below steps and check if you are able to paste and save the screen shots on MS Paint.

• Try to access the picture you want to take the screen shot, press Print Screen
  button from the keyboard.
• Open MS Paint by pressing Windows key, type
  paint and select MS Paint from the displayed options.
• Press Ctrl + V keys to Paste the picture, later press
  Ctrl + S keys to Save the picture and check if it helps.
