Windows 10: Ctrl+X Cut was a lie. Removed all my documents...

Hello.


I know control copy is safest method. However...


Once in a while control copy doesnt copy all files for some reason. I started using Control Cut.


I trusted it too much... I transfered my documents to external hard drive. It looked all clean.

My idea was to get some more space in my internal hard drive. So I permanently removed all my documents ASSUMING they were transferred to my hard drive. Before i did that, I wondered why they werent removed automatically, since ctrl cut means it will take from one place and put it in to another.. Right? WRONG. All my documents are GONE.



Now it´s your time to comment how stupid i was and what i should i have done instead. So please, tell me - why copying a lot of items wont copy them all and why ctrl+x means creating shortcuts instead of actually transfering my files from one place to another?

Cut Shortcut Key not ctrl +x but ctrl + window logo + x

Hi I'm recently found out that my cut shortcut key has been changed from ctrl + x to ctrl + window logo + x.

It's very annoying, I've been searching solutions for hours and there's no answer to it.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

I'm using Windows 7 Professional.

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.

Method 1: Hardware Troubleshoot

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio.

Refer these steps:

  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
  
• 
  
  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
  
• 
  
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
  
• 
  
  Run the hardware and devices troubleshooter
  

Method 2:

Uninstall and reinstall the keyboard driver from device manager.

Follow the steps:

1. Press Windows key + X from the Keyboard and click on Device Manager.

2. In Device Manager, double click on the Keyboard.

3. It will show you the device driver name, select that device and then right click on it.

4. Click on Uninstall button.

6. Restart the computer, the drivers will get automatically installed on your Windows 10.

I would also suggest you to check with any other external keyboard and see whether it is working fine.
