  1. CTRL+Z Deletes Folders Without Recycle Bin Recovery, Terrifying.

I just lost hours of work because Windows 11 allows entire folders to be permanently deleted via CTRL+Z with no confirmation, no “undo” for the undo, and no trace in the Recycle Bin. This is a catastrophic UX failure. “Undo” should never mean permanently delete without a trace. At the very least, Windows should prompt me or send the folder to Recycle Bin. Instead, I watched two folders vanish in disbelief while trying to recover one. This design is really infuriating, and I lost trust in the confidence of pressing Ctrl + Z. Please fix this flaw or add a confirmation warning if “Undo” is about

    :)

  2. ctrl + z = my folder got deleted

Unfortunately yes, you can try a paid program, but it's no guarantee or a data recovery company. Best practice is just to hit delete not ctrl z as that permanently deletes it. Pressing just the delete button will put it in the recycle bin, when you are
sure you do not need the deleted files you can empty the bin.

  3. Ctrl + Z Recycle Bin Confirmation

How to turn on the confirmation for restore files from Recycle Bin when press Ctrl + Z like in Windows 7? There's no confirmation in Windows 10 and I have mistakenly restore files I'm deleted, sometimes override the new files and there's no way to get
those overridden files back. If there's no way to turn this back on, please re-add this in the next update please.

    recycle bin

    Hi George,

To prevent your files from being deleted from the Recycle Bin, we suggest increasing the maximum file size your Recycle Bin can keep by following the steps below:

    • Right click on the Recycle Bin icon.
    • Under the Settings for selected location, select Custom size.
    • Fill up the box for your allotted maximum file size for your Recycle Bin.
Let us know if you need further assistance.
