  1. Cumulative Update April 2023 (KB5025221) - Possible no signal issue with Nvidia 471.41 driver

Curious if anyone have similar issue. Summary of the issue:

    • The Nvidia 471.41 driver was installed automatically when I installed Windows 10 on a new system
    • The issue started on 15 Apr after installing the cumulative update on 12 Apr
    • On 15 Apr, the system crashed without BSOD with automatic Windows restart after that
    • On 15, 16, 17, 18 – No signal issue, but system kept running normally with sound etc, only monitor was blank so I had to shut down using the power button / They happened both in game and just surfing the web
    • Report by BlueScreenView software on first crash, culprits are highlighted with red:
      • dxgkrnl.sys – DirectX Graphics Kernel
      • ntoskrnl.exe – NT Kernel & System
      • nvlddmkm.sys
    • Reliability Monitor
      • Hardware error – A problem with your hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly / LiveKernelEvent Code 117, 141, and Bluescreen Code 116
      • Desktop Windows Manager (dwm.exe) stopped working
    • Event viewer
      • Error 15/4/2023 6:11:13 PM BugCheck 1001 None
        • The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000116 (0xffff97090deef010, 0xfffff80236406bd8, 0xffffffffc000009a, 0x0000000000000004). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: a53e96a1-66cc-4fa0-b983-edc9a23f6400.
    • Did a system restore to a date before the update and it did fix the no signal issue since as of now (which automatically created when installing the update). Wondering which one's the culprit. System Restore › Scan for affected programs › Programs and drivers that will be deleted:
      • Program
        • Microsoft Edge 112.0.1722.48
        • Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime 112.0.1722.48

  3. April 11, 2023 KB5025221 caused slowness on VDI machines

We have different VDI machines with Windows 10. Some of them looks like have significant performance degradation after April 11, 2023 KB5025221.

Once we uninstall KB5025221 performance back to normal.

Is there any known issue with installing it on VDI or we need to apply some workaround?

    Regards,
