Windows 10: Cumulative update broken KB5032190

Recently. With the below update, I have been experiencing where it reaches 25%, starts going in a small bootloop when it reaches 26% every time. Then starts rolling back, and just goes back to the current update.2023-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems KB5032190However, it did successfully install a prior update successfully without issue:2023-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems KB5031354And. Just to confirm it isn't an issue with my OS. It did successfully install a prior Windows Defender Update and a cumulative update

update KB5032190 will not install

I have the same or similar problem with KB5032190

After installing and restart, it fails at 90% each time, then winds back to before KB5032190 install.

I have done all you have suggested and more, but still fails.

All other updates, previews, etc were fine.

All self help problem shooters are fine.

I see the noise increasing on the web about this update...

 

Windows 11 23H2 x64 (2023-11 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 KB5032007 and 2023-11 Cumulative Update KB5032190) fail to install

Went through the troubleshooting steps and it didn't afford a solution. Went through the update sequence again (3 reboots to be told there was an update problem and 3 further reboots to get back into Windows - damn frustrating). After the reboot the Update history still showed KB5032007 was successfully installed (interestingly, the install date had incremented to 20/11/2023, rather than 19/11/2023 which is indicated in my original post).

I did note the troubleshooter appeared to enable selective updates so you could install each update separately. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to work the next time round so I forced an update after .NET Framework update was tagged "pending restart". The update proceeded smoothly and all was good, because when I checked for updates again only the cumulative update was downloaded. I have now tried updating a couple more times and the cumulative update still reports an error during a reboot.

I reviewed KB5032190 and can confirm the update is installed - I have the Copilot (preview) pinned to my taskbar, the new volume control with control for individual apps, and I can hide the time. One is led to the conclusion that KB5032190 is installed, but Windows update thinks KB5032190 has not updated correctly, so it keeps attempting to do so.

Now it is down to forcing Windows update to accept KB5032190 is installed so it doesn't force me to go through the update cycle (in a mere 6 reboots!). Do you know how to achieve this?
