Windows 10: Cumulative update constantly failing and constant 100% disk usage

    Cumulative update constantly failing and constant 100% disk usage


    These issues began yesterday 3/13/20. The update, "2020-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based Systems KB4551762" has failed every time I try to install it with the error code, "0x80071160". When this issue began my disk drive also went up to 100% with little change. I restarted my pc multiple times but both issues persisted. Could anyone help me, please?

    Disk usage constantly at or near 100%

    No luck.

    Finally got all updates downloaded and installed, restarted and still a constant 100% disk usage. Avast has been uninstalled too.

    Have you tried check if the issue occurs in safe mode\clean boot?

    If not, I suggest you to follow the steps suggested to boot into safe mode and check.

    If the problem does not exist in safe mode, try to perform a clean boot (from the
    link you have provided) and check.
