Issues with Windows 10 Update

The latest build update for non-insiders was KB3124263 issued on 01/14/2016 which was a Cumulative update for version 1511.

The current build is: Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.63

The procedure you describe, "(the large circle with the percentage number and the process was similar, with many restarts)."
as you are aware only occurs for build /cumulative updates, so it appears that KB3124263 was installed, check update history.

Downloading now. Hopefully this may stop me having to repeatedly uninstall and reinstall 'calendar and mail' to fix the won't sync issue. Doubt it though, it'll probably make Cortana a better spy *Zip

After restart Windows can't install the update and revert changes, in event log appears 0x80070003. I try to clean SoftwareDistribution\Download folder but nothing changes.

 

I miss the good old days where you could click on "More Information" before deciding whether to download/install, or hide specific updates.

Edwin thanks for those screen shots, but Win10 does not give you the option to accept or decline the download, or turn off auto updates. On Win-7, I checked for updates manually and then decided on an update-by-update basis, which to accept and which to hide. Are you inferring that Windows-10 still enables this user flexibility?
