Windows 10: Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 KB3136562

One thing I noticed: 'Pin to Start' and 'Pin to Taskbar' has reappeared in tons of different places!

 

The links provided in the first post are Microsoft.

 

But why aren't they putting it on windows update. They should deploy it through here and keep in sync with release of those links. Most ordinary users don't frequent forums and will be unaware of this update. Are they expecting everyone to just stumble on it. I thought their aim was to keep everyone as upto date as possible. I guess it will appear at sometime later but it's a frustrating waiting exercise

 

Yes, but he made a good point it is best to wait. Besides what's the rush as know nothing about it yet

 

There's no rush. I figure people here will do what they think is best for them. I only wanted to point out the facts.

 

I will wait for Windows Update to let me know. I am too conservative to take a chance on problems I create by installing any updates I am not sure about. I've been burnt to many times doing silly things - lol.

Hi again it is safe to follow the link
Have been running it on all my OS and have had no trouble at all.
Have shut down and restarted several times and was fast before but now everything loading even faster

If this update were anything close to important, it would certainly be available via Windows Update.
There must be a reason why it is not.
Just wait if you prefer to play safe.
I installed it manually from the link and there's nothing to celebrate about.

 

I think someone mentioned that they decided to get it out there as a standalone because so many were having problems with Windows Update at the moment.

 

If it is as you said, I am afraid I find it hard to understand by MS does out come out and say so.
No offense. I prefer to hear it from the horse's mouth.

I installed it anyway. So, to me, the matter is moot.

 

Ok I took the plunge, was a little cold at first, but thanks Cluster Head. Installed fine no problems. *Smile
