Note please that the Restart-Time.vbs script includes also the time of all the programs set to run on startup in its calculation. I have two: CCleaner Pro and HWiNFO64. Otherwise, in my system, from the time I will press the OK button in the script until I will see my desktop again, seventeen (17) seconds pass.

Just spotted a few Google links relating to 10586.79 being pulled. Not good news although it doesn't specifically suggest if anything is wrong or the reasons. Just be wary to those who have installed it just in case there is something that comes out of this. My suspicion is there is nothing wrong with it and MS just inadvertently released it on Windows update without intention.

A bit late ... Already installed 64Bit .. Still alive and kicking ..*Smile

 

Not late. If you want to, you can uninstall the update.
I did and back to 10586.71

 

no difference here. .79 and going.

 

It's alright .. I like it though ...*Smile

 

No problems at all on any of the systems it is installed on.
So will just leave it as it is.
No bugs have appeared so far since installing it

I do think they'd have pulled it from the download pages if there was a real problem so you'll (hopefully) be OK.

Yes on all systems I have installed it on where fast before but now seems even faster, and login time from start up to online is quicker.
Also forums and sites seem to load a lot quicker

 

Installed update and it fixed a long standing update problem that threw regular 0x80070643 error code after an update check. This error code has repeated regularly for months even though the Windows update ran and downloaded property.

 

Tuff, I was about to start installing other sw when I saw this announcement and thus installed the x.79 update from the catalogue. So far all I have seen is a much faster pc! So it stays until MS let us know what the problem is. I have however stopped installing any other software .....

I was wondering if the language issue had anything to do with all the issues I previously experienced. So this time round I have stuck with en-us, even though I prefer "real" English *really
