Windows 10: Cumulative Update KB3194798 for Windows 10 PC & Mobile build 14393.321

Cumulative Update took about 15 minutes from start to finish. But that included updates for MS Office and flash player. So far PC seems to be running fine afterward. *Smile

 

Hung on 81% for the last 25 minutes. If this wasn't a new laptop I wouldn't bother with updates. The more MS screws up with this patch Tuesday makes me want a mac even more. Not happy especially when there is still no fix for autoplay and windows defender doing a scan without me actually having to click the scan button. *Sad

Yes when I was downloading I saw the Office and Adobe Flash updates plus the CU but when I look at update history it's showing Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool was also downloaded. I didn't see the download for this and as it always seems to take a while to download this I suspect this was the cause of the apparent hang I had at 78%.

 

Wow Finally done, and i think my PC has a problem.
I think its on roids "steroids" *Biggrin its fast i mean really fast, can't remember the last time i ran so smooth
Only strange thing was my power settings, it got changed to power saver?
BUT after sending Mr. Satya Nadella hate mail for 3 months my settings did not get changed to def meaning camera contacts and so on all was as i left it.

Yes....Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool always takes a while for me as well. Usually the cumulative update takes the longest, as it must check to see which new files need to be downloaded and installed.

 

Is anyone else getting the message about Diskpart being opened?

It happened on both of my systems and this is not the first time. If I allow it, I see a command window open and Diskpart start but that seems to be it.

I've had two successful updates to 321...a desktop and a laptop.

What a relief....after the last debacle! I'm a happy camper.

 

After successful update on Surface Pro 4 decided to do a Disk Cleanup. this locked on to the revolving dots which ages later were still turning.
This was only some 450 MB so decided to cancel the opp.
Turned off computer to watch football match on television, turned on again at half time to find it was installing updates and do not turn off computer, this lasted over an hour and was still going so did a cold restart, only to find that the update I had made previously was still intact.
Very strange behaviour....2 hours or revolving dots for no reason....even the Disk Cleanup had been accomplished.

 

Fast download and no issues after install.

 

Took about an hour and a half for me. I see the 3.99TB in Windows Update Cleanup as well.

 

5min. download and install no issues. Defaults a few settings, check your windows sound and power settings. Enjoy.

 

Same here. This update was very quick and absolutely no hang ups. Everything is good.
