Oh, I thought the "servicing this [16299.0] build" line surely meant CU, just like in past cycles. Weird.

Installed here without any hassles, other than no video for a minute or so after the 75% restart.

I think it's because they had to remove the watermark and the expiration date, so this time it's different.

I'm curious how well this will work for the folks that need it.
I have help/attempted to help, many a member to get their .Net3.5 installed.
And there is no one single way to do it, although mounting an ISO and running this usually helped:
Code: DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /LimitAccess /Source:E:\sources\sxs Where the Source:E was the USB I used to do Win10 installation (E: should be whatever your drive letter is with the windows 10 ISO)[/quote]

  7. That this is the final build makes absolutely NO sense to me. I highly suspect there will come one more build where the revision number is again reset to 0. It would be a build with all bugfixes applied and everything working as it should.

  9. Yes I am! They still need to remove watermark and all extratelemetry before it is complete. Why would MS suddenly start deviating from their own rules and guidelines? Makes absolutely no sense to me.

Either way...if they do deviate then it is no wonder MS is a mess at times.

I was referring to the last part (everything should work..) There are always some bugs left. All RTM builds were problematic in some way or another (for some users...). Nothing that can't be solved with CU.

Look at the size of latest ISOs. It's been getting smaller and smaller, so debug code was slowly eliminating already.

And expiration date? I'm not in position to test it right now... Nevermind.. saw Wynona's post. It is not there...
Watermark is simple registry setting, so no problem to eliminate it..
