Many thanks. Very wary of touching the editor as it can always go wrong but I'll give it a go at some point *Biggrin

I did not tweak any in the Local Group Policy Editor. I think that notice is due to some registry tweaks I have made. Windows 10 picks them up as policy changes.

Here is what I changed via reg tweaks.

    @AntJac

If you want to see what you are doing, copy/paste

    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

Into the search field at the top of Registry Editor, and press Enter. Find the 2 sub-keys in the right panel, Right click them and click MODIFY. Type what you want and click OK. To add that key to your Favorites for quick access (should you change your mind), highlight the main key in the left panel and click add to favorites up top. Call the favorite anything you want.

Here it ended in a blue screen, not working Kaspersky and not functioning network adapter. WHY o why do they keep pushing this crap? Anyway, just counting down to a newly ordered iMac. Must work, can’t keep repairing computers whole the time. It gets worse lately. No system is perfect, no os is. But the level of Win 10 really went down the drain. Worked with it since 3.11, now it’s enough. Can’t handle it anymore and would like to have my time back again.

[/quote] Wait, is this bug back once again? This was fixed on 1703... now we have a regression to 1607?
    LOL

Well that's why you don't have those settings. Apparently they're hidden because you already tweaked them in the registry. Guarantee if you revert those tweaks the Advance settings will re-appear.

Anyway that's my best answer. Good luck.

That was a good suggestion, but alas it did not fix the issue. I speculate it is some thing to do with Cumulative Update(s). I am just going to let sleeping dogs lie.

Well if they do, they certainly didn't affect me. And I have all the current updates.

BTW I now have that "some settings are managed by your organization" warning, but it came from me disabling driver updates in the Local Group Policy Editor. Returning to the original settings will remove that warning. Also, even with that, I still have my Advanced settings, so....

Anyway good luck in finding a solution but I don't think the updates are the cause.

    Peace *Cool

I can't make the Aero/Transparency work in the latest Win10 build, someone having problems with that too?

I tried everything, changed the regedit values, etc.

Per Shawn the defer options will not show in an Insider build. I am on Release Preview so that it is why the options are missing.

Well for clarity, I don't run insiders. I'm on the standard commercial side (aka - non-insiders).
