This update has confirmed issues. I just finished a remote access session with a MS support technician who said that the update was not tested and is incompatible with my device for now. The support tech disabled auto updates and told me to contact support sometime in the future when the problem may be resolved, and then I can update my computer. So I'm currently stuck at 16299.125 for a while :-(

But there error prevent me to open that dialog box. I had to restore the system with a backup image i created recently and then install the update again and the problem is gone. I read from another forum member something about repository, but i read the message after i did the restore with the backed image i had.

So I'm having problems on one system with these 2 updates: KB4093112 cume and KB4093110 flash.
They both keep saying "awaiting restart", but never install - always fail and then another "awaiting restart" shortly afterwards.
When I checked in Control Panel>Programs and Features>View Installed Updates for them, KB4093112 was there and showing as installed, but not flash. So I downloaded both of them from the Update Catalog. Neither will install, giving the message "KBxxxxxxx is already installed on this system". Ran Windows Update Troubleshooter, but no good; still problems. All DISM+SFC scan show no problems. *Confused

  9. Well I think this was okay... I just got a scared cause after everything installed perfectly I restart and then my PC can't find my profile and a message: preparing windows appears with a new profile like I just installed Windows *Sad Had to restart again to fix it but for now it LOOKS ok. Wonder why this annoying things even happens!

  11. Once I got the same problem on a old laptop with Win7 after a update and never understood why this happens so I tried to see if someone could say if it's me being stupid or Windows being Windows *Smile

I know updates are important but man they are also annoying!

I've seen that happen before on some systems - seems it has to do with 3rd-party AVs. Just my opinion though, I have no facts to base that on - just what I've seen on other systems (and I work on a lot of systems).
