  1. Cumulative update to 1909 may break IP networking?

Yesterday pc applied the latest windows update, I believe was a cumulative patch for 1909, bringing the build to 18363.592. Today, when I started to use the PC all networking came to a halt, and the computer made various complaints about misconfigured IP settings. Wifi was connected and ethernet had a link, but neither worked. I noticed that adapters in question had some new IPv6 addresses, but beyond that no idea what the problem was.

After a lot of wrestling, I rolled windows back to 18363.535 and some of the IPv6 stuff is gone and all the interfaces are operating normally. So it appears to have been the update.

I have a sister machine that I think has yet to be updated. But my newer laptop is running the build with no problem.

The previous major update basically locked me out of my computer and I'm not keen on it getting wrecked by windows update a third time in a row.
