Windows 10: Cumulative Update Version 20H2 Repeatedly Fails to Install

Over the last few weeks, update 20H2 has installed, failed to run, then uninstalled itself at least five times. This morning, I woke up to a BSOD, likely related to this or the fact that Windows Update is also complaining about not being able to install update 21H1 which, I assume, cannot be installed without 20H2 being installed first.Having rolled back the update one more time, I now have a few questions:How can I get Windows Update to straighten this out or, failing that...How to I prevent cumulative updates without stopping Security Intelligence for Defender updates?I really just wanna put

Cumulative Update Repeatedly Fails

A cumulative Windows update fails repeatedly to install. It asks me to quote:

2019-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4507435) -Error 0x80080008

Any ideas?

 

KB4338819 Cumulative Update Repeatedly Fails

The KB4338819 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems, release July 10 2018, is repeatedly failing. INSTALLING gets to 25%, then it goes back to downloading. This has been happening over-and-over all day. Dell XPS8920 Desktop
with 32gb memory installed. 60gb free on the SSD drive. Windows 10 Home, Version 1803.OS Build 17134.112.

Installed OK on my Dell laptop.

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
