    Cumulative updates - December 2020


    Reminder: There has been an issue with the in place upgrade in Windows 10 20h2. Users could only select keep nothing. Microsoft found out about the bug last month and the fixed for the bug is out with KB4586853. There will be no preview updates for this month.

    1. Windows 10 version 2004 and version 20H2 - KB???????, Build 19041.??? and 19042.???.
    2. Windows 10 version 1909 - KB???????, Build 18362.??? and 18363.???.

    MPORTANT
    Windows 10, version 1903 has reach end of servicing on December 8, 2020. To continue receiving security and quality updates, Microsoft recommends that you update to the latest version of Windows 10. If you want to update to Windows 10, version 1909, you must use the Enablement Package KB4517245 EKB. Using the EKB makes updating faster and easier and requires a single restart.     Cumulative December update

    I tried to download and install the December Cumulative Update from the website you had listed and did not have any luck. I received error messages stating that it would not install and it still has not come through windows update. Do you have any other
    suggestions?

    Hi Ed

    Since the January cumulative update has installed successfully, you do not need to worry about the December update, the January update would have contained whatever code was in the December update . . .

    December Cumulative Update

    The Wu10 December Cumulative Update never installed. The entry says

    Cumulative Update for Win10 v1909 (KB4530684) (2) not downloading. Last failed install attempt on 12/10/19 – Oxc 1900401

    There have been no push attempts since and I do ask for Updates regularly. Today I got the January Cumulative which seemed to have some trouble but did install.

    Should I do anything about December at this point? If so, what? (I don't do tech stuff)
