    Cumulative Updates Do Not Conclude - W11


    Dears, The two updates indicated in the screenshot have been pending action since January with no reasonable progress.I have a quite stable network connection & environment, and I have at least 4 hours a day screentime enabling any background process to run and end.2025-01 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 24H2 for x64 KB50496222025-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems KB5050009Could someone please let me know how these two can be successfully finalized and whether there is a bug?I even contacted Microsoft Suppo

    June 2016 Cumulative Update impacted my Desktop

    Hi,



    I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve the issue.



    I suggest you to uninstall the Cumulative update and check if it helps.

    Follow the steps below.


    • Go to control panel, then click on
      Programs and Features.

    • Tap on View installed updates, then find the update.

    • Right click on the update and uninstall the update.

    And also you can temporarily disable the
    Cumulative update.

    I tried to download and install the December Cumulative Update from the website you had listed and did not have any luck. I received error messages stating that it would not install and it still has not come through windows update. Do you have any other
    suggestions?

    Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
