This is a summary of the cumulative updates released on January 12th for all the supported consumer releases of Windows 10.

1. Windows 10 version 2004 and version 20H2 - KB4598242, Build 19041.746 and 19042.746
2. Windows 10 versions 1909 - KB4598229, Build 18363.1316

January 2021 Xbox OS Update for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One

January 2018 Windows 10 Cumulative Update

I have an HP, Intel i3, Windows 10 Home Version 1709. I diligently endeavor to keep it up-to-date with once-every-day level verification.

Usually every month there are 3 "routine" updates that come through, usually on the second Tuesday of each month: 1) a Windows Cumulative Update; 2) an Adobe Flash Player Security Update, and; 3) a Malicious Software
Removal Tool (I think automatically executed once).

This month - January - I received only 2 of said updates: Adobe Security and Malicious Software Removal,
both "successfully installed" on Wednesday, January 10th.

But there was no Cumulative Update. I researched and found out that listed as
January 3rd that there is a Cumulative Update
listed as KB 4056 892, OS Build 16299 .192 available. To repeat, I have
not yet received this. I check manually every day and Settings responds after checking that I am "Up to Date".

The last Cumulative Update listed in Settings' "View installed update history"
is currently December 12th, KB 4054 517, OS Build 16299

Is this no Cumulative Update for January yet an MS planned delay? If so, when should I expect it? If there is no delay
OR the delayed-date passes without the update, what should I do next?

 

January 2018 Windows 10 Cumulative Update

This month was a bit different.

There were 2 security vulnerabilities discovered on 2nd of January that carried a risk of compromising information on the computer, so MS had to prepone the Patch Tuesday cumulative update-The release went out on 3rd of January itself.

Moreover, as these patches were released in Emergency, there are a quite large number of known issues. For example, the updates fail with some error code. Second thing, These updates went to release for AMD based systems as well, which created System instability.
As a result, MS stopped the patch for AMD based systems. Which most probably is true till now.
But as you said you have an Intel-based system, you should have got the update.

There are some known issues listed here, can you see if some apply to you?

I would not worry and Install the Patch manually.
